The DoubleTree Hotel
2055 South Park Place
Atlanta, GA 30339
Hosted by DomCon Atlanta
This year, the Southeast Olympus Leather committee is pleased to announce a planned Pony and Trainer exhibition. This is a type of scene that is rarely seen in public and will be both educational, and informative.
Southeast Olympus Leather will be holding a raffle for a storage bench which will benefit RSVP (Red Stick Volunteer Players) a leather group in the Southeast which was instrumental in helping to shelter others within the community during both Hurricane's Gustav and Ike.
Tickets for the raffle will be $1.00 each or $5.00 for boot to crotch or around the chest. Tickets may be purchased Friday and Saturday from Ms. Insatiable Amazon in the vendor fair or from several people who will be out and about during the weekend. The drawing will be held during the Southeast Olympus Leather contest on Saturday Night at 8:00 pm in the Cabernet Sauvignon room at the Doubletree. You do not have to be present to win.
Here is some information about RSVP:
RSVP in Baton Rouge is a pansexual, BDSM, alternative lifestyles
group. RSVP (Red Stick Volunteer Players) is a gateway group that
provides education, support, and special interest groups in a safe and
social atmosphere. RSVP maintains an Education Facility and Dungeon
that is funded by its member participation at education events,
bi-monthly play parties and an occasional fund raiser.
We have a full event calendar with presenters, presentations,
demonstrations, socials four or more times a month, special interest
groups (including but not limited to erotic photography, role play,
discussion nights, and toy making). One time a year RSVP hosts an
auction at our Halloween party (2008 is our 6th Annual Auction) and it
is sponsored by RSVP members, lifestyle vendors and groups, and
friends of RSVP.
Hurricane Season runs from June 1 – November 30 each year, this is
when 97% of the tropic activity is in the Atlantic Ocean. On June 1 an
announcement goes out to the Gulf Coast BDSM communities to remind
them of the importance of a plan of evacuation which includes the
availability of the RSVP Education Facility / Dungeon. When a
hurricane threatens the Gulf another announcement goes out to many
mailing lists and repeats as necessary.
RSVP opens her doors to those in need and provides shelter whenever
there is a crisis. The space has candles, flashlights, radio,
lighters, snacks, ice, places to sleep, sheets, first aid, paper
products, etc. We make sure that if a hurricane watch is issued, that
there is an abundance of bottled water, batteries, & other necessary
items that might be needed. Thanks to FEMA (I did not personally use
them), this year we have added two cases of MRE's to our pantry (I
think they have an expiration of NEVER!)
When the word goes out for a need, everyone associated with RSVP band
together in an amazing way.
Many thanks go out to those that contribute financially by attending
our functions, to those that generously give supplies throughout the
year, to those that give items and services to our auction and other
fund raisers, to the special people that have technical abilities to
maintain our facility (a/c, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
